Pender Counseling Services provides mental health and counseling services to individuals, families, couples, children, and adolescents in the Los Angeles area.
The therapist will evaluate the client during the initial visit and discuss expectations of services, including fees, and expected length of treatment. Each person and family is unique; therefore, a treatment plan is developed with the client(s) to ensure that it meets specific needs.
Assessment, evaluation and treatment provided. The therapist and client will develop a treatment plan to address issues identified during the in-take process. Length of treatment will be based on client need. In cases where the client is between the ages of 3-11 years old, play therapy techniques will be used in treatment.
Evaluation, assessment, and treatments are provided within the family structure. Family therapy is useful for resolving conflict, improving communication, and helping family members adjust to change.

Evaluation, assessment, and treatment provided. After completing the in-take process, group counseling clients will be assigned to a group that best serves their needs. Group Services run for 8-12 weeks, depending on the issue being addressed. Group categories include anger management, grief and loss, managing trauma, self-esteem, depression, and anxiety.
